Excruciating Pain The gunshot goes off popping my ears out. As I wait for my teammate to approach me. I see Michael coming at a staggering speed. When he was close enough, I turn and start waiting for the hand off. I couldn't say it was a good hand-off but it was as if preschoolers were running the race. When I wasn't even half way done running I hear this pop. Uncontrollably I plummet to the ground. Unable to move, I lay waiting for help. "What happened?" My coach asked. I couldn't even speak. My hip felt like it was being ripped out bone by bone. I couldn't even bare the pain anymore. The entire track meet was paused until they put me on a stretcher and took me to the hospital. They took all these x-rays to find out I broke a piece of my hip bone.

House on Hunter Street My house is filled with noisy racket. My father who lies tirelessly and watches his favorite TV shows all day. My mother who listens to her favorite Gospel singer, Mary Mary; she plays her music almost everyday. My sister who stays on her phone and laughs at all her cute little text messages she receives And Amos who sleeps all day and night not wanting to be bothered. Sometimes I wish I can get away. Go somewhere far and stay forever. Somewhere like Florida Then I remember all the things that has happened to me in this house as a child. The time I almost drowned in my pool trying to impress this girl. Or the time we had apple fights in my backyard and I got bruises everywhere. I can never forget the house I have lived in for eleven years. The house on Hunter Street. A house with meaningful memories. A house that I can call my home.
